Will Driscoll, a directionless 18-year-old, is made a pawn in a longstanding family feud between his father and uncle. When reclusive Uncle William dies, he leaves Will his rumored-to-be sizable estate, but it comes with a catch: He must first prove himself worthy.
Pushed relentlessly by Bernie (Bernadette) his energetic, tomboyish best friend, Will is forced to confront increasingly difficult tasks that test his resolve and make him confront his personal obstacles. The biggest “mountain to climb” is his father, who would rather spite his big brother than see his son succeed.
Before Will completes the last of his tasks, he must become the man no one thought he could be or watch the tenuous bonds of his family become permanently broken.
